so, on a whim, i decided to make a new account here on deviantart. i've been bouncing back and forth with the idea here for a few months now, cause people tend to lose watchers when they move accounts and i could technically just change my username (if i caved and bought a core membership with money lol no thanks), but i like the idea of a fresh start. it's kind of embarassing to link this as my main art account when it has art i made when i was just starting out seriously and it's got a username i picked when i was just beginning middle school haha

i just spent the last little bit here moving over all my art from this year onto that account so it's not barren while i create some new stuff! i'll be refavouriting some of my favourite stuff from this account, tidying this account up and then that'll be it for this one! i'll only be active on my new account, and will be leaving this one up for archival purposes.

i'm going to art school!!!!!!!!!!!

i got accepted into the Vancouver Film School to take a course in animation! i'm super excited since i've been in my hometown working for like 2 years now? and i'm ready to move on to something new. unfortunately, while i wanted to take a class this year, the only available class was may 2020 so i won't be able to leave for a while ;v; (still lowkey hoping to get put in an earlier class if people drop out lol)
but i'm really pumped!!! i was so sure i'd get rejected but instead i get to go to a new place (i looooove BC so this is really great for me) and meet new people and draw a bunch! i'm so happy!!!!

Hello everyone! Wanted to finally get that old journal off my page and give everyone an update on my situation since the fire.

First off, thank you so much for all those who showed support, I really appreciate everyone's kind words and thoughts! I'd like to let everyone know that my family was extremely supportive during this situation. We stayed at my gramma's house for a couple weeks and moved into our rental just in time for Christmas. We've lived in our rental for almost exactly two months now. New Year's Day, a bunch of my stepdad's family helped us furnish it by giving us a bunch of furniture like cabinets and beds, as well as move the furniture into our house. We're fully situated now, and slowly replacing the stuff we lost. Things are going to get busy as we start working with the insurance more, and I still haven't had time to order a tablet so while I've been doing lots of pen scribbles, unfortunately I haven't finished any art recently and it'll probably stay that way for a while. :^( I really do want to do digital art again, it's just not feasible for my immediate future.

BUT that little sidenote leads into my next topic! I made a joke status asking who wants to be Jailene's boyfriend but uh seriously. anyone got some guys free for shipping. my little lady needs a bf.
(Jailene and Jin are still a thing in platonic terms but Jin has an aversion to romantic situations and I really think Jailene needs some romance in her life!)

my house set on fire last night.

it's been burned right through. we lost everything we had, we probably won't be able to get back in to grab anything.

so no digital art from me at the very least. i'm at my gramma's house right now, and all my family including my pets made it out alive. i'm very thankful for that.

i won't be very active for the next little bit. take care.
